Drainage Board membership is comprised of both elected and appointed members. Elected membersare nominated and elected by poll from within agricultural rate payers of the district. Appointed members are appointed to the Board by the District Councils and qualify as persons with a knowledge and interest in land drainage. Each elected member undertakes to represent an area in which they live or work and are your local point of contact for issues that you do not wish to take directly to Officers. All members are unpaid volunteers.
